The David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage was established in the late 1990s to cater to injured and orphaned animals to save the animal kingdom. This was a result of numerous human attacks and natural disasters to these wild creatures. The orphanage is located 3 km from the Kenyatta International Convention Center. It’s just 700 meters from the Nairobi National Park. The park mostly accommodates injured and lonely buffaloes, rhinos and mostly elephants. Having received a special honoring visit by former USA president Barack Obama, the trust has been a wild reflection as one of the best foundations that are performing well in taking care of animals.
